Drake feat. Rihanna - Takecare

A little insight to the Drake/Rihanna/Chris Brown love triangle...

Ok so this is a post that I wrote for www.dropoutuk.com but I also wanted to include it on my blog too; after months of waiting since the release of Takecare, Drake finally gives us the video. 

Aside from Drake and Rihanna having amazing chemistry (and still making me jealous) the video is very minimalist and brooding, and has captured the essence of the song perfectly; it’s in a different league to any of his other video’s showing a more mature, artistic Drake than we are used to.

The video cuts away to shots of mountain landscapes and also includes lots of animal imagery; without anything telling a story you feel the story instead through the music and visuals.

Interestingly there has been speculation about the symbolism of the animals already. A bull is used, (which represents the Taurus star sign) a fish is used, (Pisces star sign) and a blue jay bird (which is the name of the Toronto baseball team).

Doesn’t take a genius to figure out who the bird symbolises but incidentally RiRi is a Pisces and Chris Brown is a Taurus… I’ll leave it up to you to decide!
